Prudent Research LLC ("Prudent Research," "we," or "us"), an Ohio limited liability company, runs prudentresearchlabs.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site or place an order, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the site, you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

• When you enter the site: your organization name, organization type, and work email address.
• When you order: the items you order, your shipping name, company or lab, shipping address, and phone number, your payment method and payment reference number, and your email and text message promotion choices, and, if you agree to promotional texts, a record of that agreement.
• "Notify Me" requests: your email address and, if you give it, your institution.
• When you contact us: the messages you email to us.
• Payment details: you enter your card details into Square, not into our site. We do not see or store full card numbers. We receive the amount, a payment reference, and the payment method.
• Device information: your browser sends standard information, such as your IP address and browser type, to our host and to the services listed below. We do not use advertising or analytics trackers on this site.

2. How we use your information

• To review, process, and ship your orders, and to send order confirmations and tracking.
• To check that purchases are for research use.
• To answer your messages.
• To send you updates about our products, unless you opt out (see section 3).
• To protect the site from abuse and fraud.
• To keep business records and meet legal and tax requirements.

3. Marketing emails, text messages, and how to opt out

At checkout you can tick the box that says you do not want marketing or promotional emails. You can also email us at any time at info@prudentresearchlabs.com. If you opt out, we will still send messages about your orders, such as confirmations and tracking.

We ask for your phone number at checkout so we can reach you about your order and delivery. We send promotional text messages (SMS), including restock alerts, only to people who tick the box at checkout that asks if they want them. Agreeing is optional and is not required to place an order. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. You can stop promotional texts at any time by replying STOP or by emailing us at the address above. We may still contact you about your orders.

4. Who we share information with

We share information only as needed to run the site and fill your order, and we do not sell your personal information. The services we use include:

• Square, to take card payments.
• UPS and USPS, to deliver your order. They receive your shipping name and address.
• Web3Forms, a form service that delivers what you submit on our site to our email.
• hCaptcha, a human check shown when you enter the site. It looks at information from your browser to tell people from bots.
• Hostinger, which hosts the site.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

5. Information stored in your browser

The site saves a few small items in your browser: whether you have entered during this visit, your cart, your saved shipping address, your marketing choice, and your last entry details so forms can be filled in for you. They stay on your device. You can remove them by clearing your browser data. Square and hCaptcha may set their own cookies under their own policies.

6. How long we keep information

We keep order and entry records for as long as we need them to run the business, handle disputes, and meet legal and tax requirements.

7. Security

The site uses secure (HTTPS) connections, and payments are handled by established payment companies. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices

You can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing info@prudentresearchlabs.com. We may need to keep some records, such as order records, to meet legal requirements. Residents of some states have additional privacy rights, and we will respond to requests as the law requires.

9. Children

The site is for researchers and businesses. Buyers must be at least 21 years old, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
